About Advanced Substrate Technologies Pte. Ltd.

We are a Singapore-based subsidiary of TOPPAN Holdings Inc., a Japanese pioneer in printing technologies and a leading supplier of high-quality Flip Chip Ball Grid Array (FC-BGA) substrates. We are the first factory in Singapore to pioneer the manufacturing of high-end FC-BGA substrates used in cutting-edge semiconductor products such as network switches and artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) devices.

Additionally, our facility will conduct research and development (R&D) aimed at advancing substrate technologies to meet the evolving performance requirements of future products in these domains. Broadcom Inc., a global technology leader specializing in semiconductor design, enterprise software, and security solutions, is also actively supporting the establishment of this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Singapore. 

 

About the role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for optimizing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will design, implement, and improve manufacturing systems and workflows, focusing on reducing waste, increasing productivity, and solving production issues. Your role includes selecting and maintaining equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards, and working closely with cross-functional teams to address challenges in design, supply chain, and production. Manufacturing engineers also focus on continuous improvement, cost savings, and maintaining safety and compliance standards to enhance overall manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect products.
• Operate and shut down equipment as required.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and production processes.
• Address and communicate quality and equipment issues.
• Conduct quality checks on manufactured items to ensure standards.
• Complete entries in various logs and update system inputs.
• Monitor system progress using line monitoring tools.
• Replace materials and consumables, including filters, as needed.
• Perform tool changes and other necessary tasks when switching product types.
• Store materials properly and manage inventory levels.
• Set and adjust operational conditions for optimal performance.
• Conduct scheduled equipment maintenance according to the maintenance plan.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously when required.
• Prepare chemical solutions for the equipment you manage.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.

 

Location & Commitments

• Premises located in 9 Pesawat Drive, Singapore 619607 or any other location
• Permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week

 

Job Requirements

Professional qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Certification in hazardous material handling is advantageous.
• Certification in safety and health is a plus.

Expertise and skills:

• Proficient in computer operations, including data entry and editing in MS Office (Excel).
• Capable of entering and editing information in production-related systems.
• Experience in handling chemical solutions is a plus.

Competency:

• Ability to adhere to established rules and procedures.
• Ability to report issues and relevant information to supervisors as needed.

Attributes:

• A collaborative and cooperative personality is preferred.
• Ideally, should not have allergies to rubber gloves or chemicals.

Others:

• Willingness to work in a shift system, including day shifts, night shifts, and according to the work schedule.
• Role involves working within a cleanroom environment.
• May require working under yellow light conditions.

Salary range: SGD4,000~7,500
