We are a Singapore-based subsidiary of TOPPAN Holdings Inc., a Japanese pioneer in printing technologies and a leading supplier of high-quality Flip Chip Ball Grid Array (FC-BGA) substrates. We are the first factory in Singapore to pioneer the manufacturing of high-end FC-BGA substrates used in cutting-edge semiconductor products such as network switches and artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) devices.

Additionally, our facility will conduct research and development (R&D) aimed at advancing substrate technologies to meet the evolving performance requirements of future products in these domains. Broadcom Inc., a global technology leader specializing in semiconductor design, enterprise software, and security solutions, is also actively supporting the establishment of this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Singapore.

Company Overview

Our AST R&D team is on a mission to transform AI and develop groundbreaking hardware. We’re creating innovative solutions for tighter, quicker, and more dependable integration of processing and memory, moving beyond the limitations of current substrate technologies. We leverage cutting-edge semiconductor processing technologies, including Chemical Mechanical Planarization, to produce high-performance substrates with 10x increase in interconnect density, paving the way for packages with up to a trillion transistors.

 

Job Responsibilities

Facility operation

  • Maintain smooth operation and maintenance of critical system including:
    • Clean room environment management
    • HVAC, exhaust, and related mechanical systems, including scrubbers
    • Electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage)
    • Process cooling water systems
    • Pure water, wastewater treatment, and reclaim plant operations
    • Chemical delivery systems (e.g., resist, plating/developing solutions, stripping, etching, flux cleaning) and bulk gas (e.g., nitrogen) delivery
    • Building management and maintenance
  • Maintain continuous supply of utilities and ensure all facilities meet performance specifications to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of important specification parameters, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections conducted within the facility.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance facility operations and propose improvements in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Respond to repair requests and ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Provide urgent troubleshooting support for facilities equipment, including during off-hours, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Execute in-house preventive maintenance to minimize facilities equipment downtime,
  • Supports in Permit-To-Work coordination for Facilities department, focusing on managing conflict of operation, maintenance and installation work schedule to minimize impacts to Production and the site in general.

Performance and Improvement

  • Achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) set by your departmental head to sustain top-tier facilities systems.

Safety

  • Be a team member of the ERT (Emergency Response Team)

Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.

 

Job Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

  • Nitec or relevant technical studies in Mechanical / Electrical or related field
  • 2 years working experience, preferably with relevant hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing related.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications, specifically MS Excel
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Competencies:

  • Capability to carry out the tasks outlined in the “Responsibilities” section above.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Attributes:

  • Comfortable to be on standby and return to the office within 2 hours of emergency.

  • Permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week
