When I first joined Advanced Substrate Technologies (AST), my background was primarily in PCB and IC packaging design. I quickly realized that advanced substrates, especially with the increasing complexity of 2.5D integration, required a new level of design thinking and state-of-the-art technology. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to participate in an overseas training program in Niigata, Japan, where I gained direct exposure to advanced simulation software, impedance control techniques, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles under the guidance of experienced technical experts.
